Disinfectant wipes have been bought in mass as everyone tries to keep their homes and possessions clean and sanitary.
DO NOT FLUSH disinfectant wipes (or baby wipes or personal wipes) down the toilet. This is happening so often that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has issued a warning deterring Americans from flushing the wipes.
Only toilet paper can be flushed down the toilet. Regardless of what the package states, all disinfectant wipes are "non-flushable" items and must be tossed into the trash, or place inside a tightly sealed bag and then put into the gray-top trash cart.
