Required Clearances

Required Clearances

Pennsylvania law requires employees who have routine and direct contact with children to complete three (3) separate clearances as part of the hiring process.

  1. The Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check, conducted by the State Police (PSP clearance)
  2. Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
  3. Federal Background Check, conducted by the FBI.
