It's a pirate ship! It's a baseball fantasy! It's Out of the Ballpark! Built in 2016 as CTCC's Project of the Year, in partnership with the Miracle League and with major support from Pirates Charities, as well as local donors, the playground wraps around the Miracle League Ballpark.
The all-inclusive playground features baseball bats arching over the gateway, plus, spinners, rockers and swing sets, benches and a shelter. The signature feature Pirate Ship is accessible with a ramp. The equipment provides a playground opportunity for both able-bodied and wheelchair-bound kids of all ages. The Pirate theme is perfectly suited to the ball field and support from the Pittsburgh Pirate baseball team/charities. Everyone is welcome.
