Cranberry values its parks, and it takes great planning and coordination to ensure the parks continue hitting the high standards and expectations set forth by the community.
At the November 2 Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board approved Phase 1 Final Design and Permitting for the Community Park North project. Herbert Rowland & Grubic Inc. will perform that work for the project, which is set to include drainage upgrades and the creation of new multi-purpose fields.
The Township recently received a Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources matching grant for $2.8 million. The project will conserve open space, meet the recreational needs of current residents, and prepare for future generations.
Construction of the project could begin in early 2025.
