The Township's biannual drug takeback event is scheduled from 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, October 28 in the rear parking lot of the Municipal Center, 2525 Rochester Road.
For more than a decade, this event has helped residents easily rid their homes of unneeded medications—those that are old, unwanted, or expired—that too often become a gateway to addiction.
Dispose of medications in the original container or by removing the medication from its container and disposing of it directly into the disposal box. Please remove any identifying information if disposing in original container.
If disposing of vape pens or other e-cigarette devices, remove batteries. If you cannot remove the battery, check with chain stores which may accept the vape pen or e-cigarette for proper disposal.
Collection sites will NOT accept syringes, sharps, and illicit drugs. Liquid products, such as cough syrup, should remain sealed in their original container. The cap must be tightly sealed to prevent leakage.
In partnership with local law enforcement, Take Back Day has removed more than 8,300 tons of medication from circulation since its inception, offering free and anonymous disposal of unneeded medications at more than 4,000 local drop-off locations nationwide.
