A project on the Pennsylvania Turnpike will close Route 19 in Marshall Township in both directions between Thorn Hill Rd. and Warrendale-Bayne Rd.
The closure will begin at 8:00 PM Friday, October 16 and extend through 5:00 AM Monday, October 19
During the closure, motorists are asked to follow these posted detours:
Northbound traffic Use Warrendale-Bayne Rd. to I-79 south to Exit 73 / Rt. 910 east to I-79 north to Exit 78 Rt. 228 west to Rt. 19.
Southbound traffic Use Rt. 228 east to I-79 south to Exit 73 / Rt. 910 east to I-79 north to Exit 75 Warrendale-Bayne Rd. to Rt. 19.
Signage will be in place throughout the approximate 10.5 mile detours. Please use caution when traveling through the area and obey posted speed limits.
Crews will be erecting beams for the new overhead bridge that will carry the Turnpike over Rt. 19.
NOTE: Right lane restrictions will be effect on Rt. 19 between Thorn Hill Rd. and Freeport Rd. during the closure.
