Accessibility is the name of the game at the new Meeder development, and a project next week will improve that access even more.
Unionville Road will close temporarily between Ogle View Road and Route 19 to allow a connection to be made to Main Street in the Meeder Development.
The closure will start at 6 p.m. Sunday, August 30. The road is expected to re-open at 7 a.m. Tuesday, September 1.
The realignment of Unionville Road is part of the first phase of the Meeder plan. During the closure, the existing curb will be cut to connect Unionville Road and Main Street. Crews will be working double shifts to complete the work in the allotted timeframe.
This will reduce the length of the work, which normally would take up to one week. Additionally, it ensures work will be completed before students return to school and busses are on the road.
All traffic into and out of Meeder will be directed to the right-in/right-out driveway at Main Street and Rochester Road.
The Board of Supervisors approved the plan at their August 27 meeting.
