In the event of an in-person Board of Supervisors meeting is deemed a risk to public safety, the Board Chairman now has authority to call a virtual meeting.
The Board adopted a resolution during its June 25 meeting to establish a protocol for in-person and virtual meetings.
The resolution follows Governor Tom Wolf’s declaration at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic allowing virtual meetings to occur. The declaration of a virtual meeting is still pursuant to public notice and accommodations for public participation.
