Property tax deadlines will be extended after a move by the Board of Supervisors.
During their May 7 meeting, the Board voted to extend the payment date for “face amount” real estate taxes until November 30, 2020. The original deadline was April 30.
The move is in accordance with Act 15 of 2020, implemented by Governor Tom Wolf, requesting municipalities to extend the date, as well with recent action by County Commissioners to extend the deadline for the county portion.
Beginning December 1, 2020, the normal 10 percent penalty will be applied to unpaid bills.
