A project to renovate Rotary Amphitheater in Community Park is music to the ears of many in the Township.
Now, the renovations, which were selected as the Cranberry Township Community Chest 2020 Project of the Year, have a clear scope and direction.
During Thursday’s Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board heard an update on the project, which will be funded through community donations.
Phase 1 includes the renovation of the amphitheater structure, including an expanded canopy and stage, new lighting, audio upgrades, improved restrooms and ADA accessibility. Work is slated to begin following Cranberry Community Days in July, with completion by spring 2021.
Phase 2 will focus on new underground utilities in preparation of Phase 3, which will install terraced seating and a plaza.
