Be it for special events, programs or meetings, the Township Municipal Center is a popular place on most days.
With that hustle and bustle comes a premium on parking, which Township officials hope to address with a new plan introduced Monday.
Supervisors approved moving forward with obtaining engineering proposals for the renovation and expansion of the rear parking lot at the Municipal Center, a project that has been postponed for several years. However, the lot has deteriorated recently, leading Supervisors to deem it a priority.
The project includes paving, as well as upgrading the stormwater management system and lighting in the lot. In addition to fixing issues, the lot will be reconfigured to add at least 70 additional spaces.
Work is expected to be bid and completed in summer 2020.
