Cars are getting smarter all the time. They’re like computers on wheels. But even if you’re a digital dummy, it’s time take charge of your own vehicle, especially if it’s a newer one. And Cranberry Township Police are ready to help. On Thursday, September 12, from 10 AM to 2 PM, the Police will host free CarFit sessions, custom-tailored for mature drivers to help them find their most comfortable and safest fit in the driver’s seat. Adjustments of controls for steering wheel position, head restraints, seat position, mirror settings and vehicle operation are all evaluated by professionals from AAA, the American Occupational Therapy Association, AARP and local police to accommodate each individual driver, including those requiring special assistance. The free 45-minute sessions take place behind Cranberry Township’s Municipal Center. To reserve your time slot, call 724-776-5180 ext. 5.
