It has taken several years and three presentations by the developer before Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors has been able to give its final approval to the Laurel Pointe planned residential development application – a two-phase development of single-family homes on a 115-acre site along Franklin Road. The sticking point had been a relatively minor difference in the size of a wetland within the plan between the developer’s original proposal and the PA Department of Environmental Protection’s own map. Ultimately, the difference was resolved by removing one of the 157 proposed home lots to accommodate the DEP’s wetland claims. At its June 27 meeting, Cranberry’s Board gave the revised PRD plan its official blessing.
