The former Sheetz building on Old Freedom Road won’t be around much longer. At its June 6 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors approved the conditional use and land development applications from J P Morgan Chase Bank to raze the old Sheetz building and erect a new, 3,470 square foot bank branch on the .94-acre site. Because the property is oddly positioned as a result of right-of-way takings, the bank received relief from Township setback requirements. At the same time, however, various streetscape enhancements are included in the plan.
