April 1, 2020 is Census Day. However, preparations to secure a comprehensive count of everyone in Cranberry on that day are already well underway. At its April 4 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors adopted a resolution approving a collaborative effort with Butler County’s Board of Commissioners to create a Complete Count Committee. Its mission will be to make recommendations and assist the U.S. Census Bureau in educating the public about the importance of the upcoming decennial census. A complete and accurate count is considered essential because it determines Congressional representation, state redistricting, and federal and state funding allocations for the next 10 years.
