Last year, the developers of Forest Edge, an upscale residential development in northeastern Cranberry, entered a purchase agreement to acquire a 36-acre parcel from the nearby Russian Orthodox Church on Peters Road, adjacent to the plan's initial phase. Their plans to expand the existing residential development from 60 to 101 homes using that newly acquired property generated significant concern among neighbors, which were expressed at length during two previous meetings of Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors. On March 7, the Board concluded that following several plan changes or clarifications by the developer, the proposed expansion satisfied all the applicable ordinances and approved the plan’s revisions.
