A handful of the stainless steel utility cabinets installed at signalized intersections throughout Cranberry Township are about to become art showcases.
A competition seeking artwork capable of being transferred to vinyl and wrapped around the boxes will draw to a close on April 2. If you have artwork that you’d like to have considered, submit it now, before the April deadline. Winning artists will receive a $400 licensing fee.
Among the competition’s guidelines are requirements that the work be original, that it cannot include logos, words, letters or numbers which would violate Cranberry’s ordinance prohibiting signs in Township rights of way, and that it does not promote or advertise any specific business, group or organization.
