Commerce Park Center – a complex of single-story office/warehouse buildings, tucked away on a private road behind the Township Municipal Center and St. Ferdinand’s church – has applied for land use and development approval to expand its capacity by adding two new buildings. At its December 6 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors approved the developer’s preliminary plans for the two buildings and then granted final approval for the first one. That building, a 14,800 square foot structure to be located at 100 Commerce Park Drive, would be built on the site where a private preschool play area is currently situated. The other building, which is also part of the Center’s Master Plan, is not yet approved. Plans call for that building to be erected on a wetland area, which would require a special state permit, which has not yet been issued.
