Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors has approved the liquor license transfer from a restaurant in Cabot, Butler County, to the Shop ‘n Save supermarket on Freedom Road. State law requires local governments of destination communities to agree that an inter-municipal liquor license transfer will not adversely affect its public health, welfare, peace or morals. The sale of alcoholic beverages is already permitted in the SP-1 zoning district where the store is located. The Board’s resolution of approval was adopted at its June 1 meeting.
