Painting, sculpting, metalwork and photography can be lonely pursuits. But if you are someone serious about their art, the Cranberry Artists Network is holding a screening for new members on Saturday, January 14. Benefits of membership include shows in which only member artists can exhibit, discounts on art-related material, and special member-only events.
To apply for membership, which carries a fee of $25 a year, artists 18 or older should drop off three gallery-ready works created over the past three years, using the same medium and done without the guidance of an instructor, to the Brush Creek Room in the back of Cranberry’s Municipal Center. A copy of the completed application form, which can be downloaded from www.cranberryartistsnetwork.com, should be attached to each work. Artwork should be brought in between 10:00 AM and Noon. The work will be screened that same morning and can be picked up for return starting at Noon. Notifications of acceptance will be made by email the following day.
The mission of Cranberry Artists Network, which formed in 2014, is to promote the arts and artists of Cranberry Township and the surrounding area.
