Cranberry’s streetscape enhancement zoning ordinance, initially adopted in 2009 and later expanded in its coverage area, is growing yet again. The ordinance stipulates that as a condition of Township land development approval, commercial and institutional construction along designated roads provide context-sensitive improvements from a menu of possible options. Among them: landscaping, brick pillars, wrought iron fencing, masonry walls, streetlights, sidewalks, trees and benches.
Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors approved the addition of several more streets and street segments to the Township’s ordinance, technically known as the Streetscape Enhancement Overlay District. Those new streets include portions of Glen Eden, Ogle View, Dutilh, North Boundary, Cranberry Square, Brandt and Thomson Park Drive.
