Motorists using Rochester Road to access Rt. 19 northbound will find their travels somewhat less congested when a road widening project funded with a federal Congestion Mitigation/Air Quality matching grant is completed in 2018. The project, which includes a new left turn lane on Rochester, an additional thru lane to Wisconsin avenue, modification of the current bridge over Coal Run, traffic signal modification and sidewalk installation, is projected to cost just under $2 million. At its November 17 meeting, Supervisors approved $167,000 for the purchase of associated engineering and design services from Whitman, Requardt & Associates.
