The second phase of the 57-acre Village of Cranberry Woods development bounded by Franklin and Longtree roads, is seeking approval to add a 7,800 square foot event center on the site where an unnamed 11,000 square foot restaurant had originally been contemplated. In addition to reducing the building size, the change in plans, if approved, will also alter the associated parking configuration as well as the facility’s intended use. Including the Cranberry site, Noah’s event venues, which are designed to accommodate weddings, corporate events and social gatherings, operate in 35 different locations in 22 states. The company’s facilities, which rely on private caterers, do not include kitchens, but offer tables, chairs, tablecloths, audiovisual equipment, setup and cleanup. Following public testimony on the developer’s conditional use and revised land development applications at its April 28 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors agreed to consider acting on the requests at its May 5 meeting.
