The virtual gavel goes down May 5 on an assortment of surplus items in Cranberry’s Public Works inventory. Bidding is open to everyone. Municibid, an eBay-like company that specializes in auctioning off municipal supplies and equipment, is currently offering a variety of specialty and general purpose goods which Cranberry’s Board has authorized to be sold to the highest bidder. Among them: folding chairs, an upright freezer, various pieces of office equipment, a 1997 pickup truck, a 2005 Chevy Impala, fitness equipment, and plenty of industrial items including pumps, generators, lighting, heating, welding, cutting, sandblasting, compacting and lifting equipment. The items are described in detail with photos on Cranberry's Municibid auction.
