Ryan Slack has been sworn in as Cranberry’s newest patrolman. At its March 31 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors administered the oath to Slack, who had previously worked with Westmoreland Hospital’s security department, followed by several years with UPMC’s police/security unit in Monroeville. In 2014, on his own initiative, Slack enrolled in and graduated from the Allegheny County Police Academy. A native of North Huntington and a graduate of Clarion University which he attended on a football scholarship, Slack recently relocated to a home in Cranberry Township.
