Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors moved swiftly to name individuals and organizations to be responsible for a variety of assignments at its January 4 meeting. They include the appointment of Campbell, Durrant, Beatty, Palumbo and Miller, P.C. as Township Solicitor; H. A. Berkheimer Associates as collector of Local Services, Mercantile and Business Privilege taxes; the Butler County Recorder of Deeds as collector of Real Estate Transfer Tax; the Butler Eagle for publication of legal notices; Maher Duessel to perform the Township’s 2016 financial audit; PNC Bank and the Pennsylvania Local Government Investment Trust as Township depositories; and the re-appointments of Sally Jack, Kendra Folker, Susan Harrison, Ed Sarver and Vincent Policido to various Township Advisory Boards and Commissions for terms ranging from one to five years. A $500,000 Treasurer’s Bond for 2016 was established through the Ohio Casualty Insurance Company. And a twice-monthly calendar of public Board meetings was also adopted.
