As part of its Healthy Cranberry sustainability initiative, the Cranberry Business Hub acknowledged the achievements of eight local organizations for practices determined to be beneficial to the environment, the economy, and to equality in the treatment of employees. The companies include Piedmont Plastics, the Natural Sleep Shop, Westinghouse Electric, Rj Community Management, Cranberry Dental, The Goddard School, the Regional Learning Alliance, and the Cranberry Township government itself. In 2008, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors adopted a set of guiding principles developed by the community to help ensure that long-term health and sustainability are factored into institutional decision-making. The eight organizations were recognized at the Township’s September 5 Board of Supervisors meeting for upholding those principles.
