[ARCHIVED] New Board Member Selected

Anthony Bertolino

The Board of Supervisors on December 11 selected Anthony Bertolino to serve on the Board for a term expiring Sunday, January 2, 2028.

He replaces Mike Manipole, who retired in December.

Bertolino has lived in the Township since 1989 and has two children. He brings a wealth of community involvement and leadership experience to the Board of Supervisors.

“As representatives of the community, the Board of Supervisors has long been a group that focuses on making the best decisions for the community's present and future needs,” said Bruce Hezlep, Board of Supervisors Chairman. “Anthony has been an integral part of this community for more than 30 years, and his track record of directly bettering Cranberry fits perfectly with our Board’s mission to make the Township a little bit better each day.”

For over 20 years, Bertolino has served on the Cranberry Community Uniting People (CUP) Board, including the past nine years as president. The CUP is a non-profit organization created in 2000 by Cathy Cortazzo to raise funds for community members in need. Highlighted by a community softball tournament and golf scramble, Cranberry CUP has raised over $2.5 million for local families experiencing financial and medical hardships. The organization also supports families during the holidays and provides scholarships to students for continued education, in addition to other community projects.

A 2024 graduate of the Community Leadership Institute of Cranberry, Bertolino has also served on the Township’s General Authority Board, as well as the Board of Directors for the Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA, Seneca Valley Jr. Football Association, and St. Ferdinand Softball League. He is a member of Cranberry Elks and can often be found playing music in the community with his band, Phase IV.

“Uniting people for the betterment of the community is a passion of mine, and I am so excited to get to work with this amazing Board of Supervisors to accomplish that goal on an even larger scale,” he said.
