The first phase of the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Brush Creek Tributary Stream Restoration Project is nearing completion, with sights set on the second phase of work.
On May 30, the Board of Supervisors approved a contract with C. Crump Inc. to perform the second phase of work.
The project will remove 320,000 pounds of sediment from a 7,000-foot stretch of the creek abutting the Cedarbrook, Manor Creek Farms, Glenbrook Manor, and Settlers Grove housing developments. The unfunded state mandates from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection are aimed at improving water quality.
