A new feature at the Waterpark tailored for younger swimmers will offer a safe, shady space.
The Board of Supervisors on February 1 approved the purchase of three shade sails from Jeffery Associates. They will provide protection in the new toddler-focused splash pad area which is set to replace the long-standing sand play space.
Replacement of the sand area was needed after it became expensive to maintain it and the impact sand granules had on the pool’s pump system. The project could be ready in time for the May opening of the Waterpark.
