Rows of corn aren’t the only things sprouting at the Powell Farm.
The Township officially took over ownership of the 71-acre Denton Powell Farm on Goehring Road earlier this year with the intention of preserving and creating a financially sustainable space.
At the October 5 meeting, the Board of Supervisors will consider establishing an Ad-Hoc Powell Farm Advisory Committee.
The committee is expected to consist of residents and individuals with an agriculture background to recommend programs and operational strategies. This Committee will make comprehensive recommendations to the Board, which will implement those recommendations to create an agricultural conservation area that doubles as an educational amenity.
