A year-long quest to further the Township’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts is nearing completion.
The Cranberry Township IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity Advisory) Team advisory committee has worked with staff to develop a set of guiding parameters to formally establish a leadership committee. At the September 7 Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board will consider the committee’s recommendations.
The consideration comes after the Board adopted the Diversity and Inclusion Update to the Cranberry Plan on June 1 as an appendix to the Township’s Comprehensive Plan.
The leadership committee will furnish recommendations to the Township and offer support in the Township’s diversity efforts. They will work directly with a Township staff member to ensure benchmarks are met. It will consist of members appointed by the Board.
