Two busloads of veterans will return to Cranberry Township after a visit to memorials and monuments in Washington, D.C., and the public is invited to give them a hero’s welcome.
Through Honor Flight Pittsburgh, dozens of veterans of World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War were taken to Washington to see the memorials that were built in honor of their service.
They will return to Cranberry Township around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, October 8 and will be given a hearty greeting from organizations like the Air Force ROTC, military, fire departments, police departments, Patriot Guard Riders, and American Legion Riders.
The public is asked to join the receiving line at 10 p.m. inside the lobby at Victory Family Church, 21150 Route 19 and pay their respects to America’s heroes.
