Cranberry is an active community.
Several times a year, the Municipal Center parking lots are overflowing as residents and guests visit for cornerstone events like CranFest and Santa’s First Stop, or even for a children’s program or pickup basketball game.
That’s why Township leaders are moving forward with a long-sought plan to upgrade the rear lot at the building at 2525 Rochester Road.
The Board of Supervisors on March 31 authorized bids for stormwater facilities in the rear lot, as well as construction upgrades for that lot.
Work is expected to include milling, paving, line striping, sidewalk installation, and lighting improvements. Capacity will be increased through a new parking pattern.
The Board will review bids in the coming months.
