For the past ten years, Cranberry Township’s business functions have been managed through the use of two separate software packages with complementary features. Over that time, its Information Technology department has created a series of bridges linking the two. But changes at both software companies have created the opportunity for greater efficiencies and lower costs by selecting one provider. As a result, the Board of Supervisors at its December 16 meeting approved a plan to transition away from Hansen Technologies, in phases, to the new expanded capabilities that are now provided by MUNIS, which is owned by Tyler Technologies. The transition will result in a savings of nearly $150,000 and provide a fully integrated enterprise management system.
