When does a private home cross the line from being a pet-loving residence into being a kennel? It is a question that Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors will consider at a public hearing September 24. The need to clarify the definition came up in response to a situation in neighboring Beaver County where a rescue shelter was created in a residential neighborhood. Cranberry’s proposed zoning ordinance amendment, which the Board will consider advertising at its September 3 meeting, would clarify the definition of a kennel and where they are permitted.
