An undeveloped 3.5 acre parcel of land next to the Butler Center building on Rt. 19 is being prepared to become the site for a new and not as yet identified commercial building. At its July 31 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors approved the owner’s request to grade the property in preparation for future development. In addition to leveling portions of the parcel for construction, improvements to the property, which involves both wetlands and a stream running through it, will include various storm facilities agreed upon between the Township and the property owner.
