Attention tween Pokémon trainers: it’s time to “catch them all” at our new Tween Club Pokémon! Discuss Pokémon with other enthusiasts and complete a fun Pokémon-themed craft or activity. If you play Pokémon Go, the Stop nearby will be lured during this event.

Are you ready to start your child off on the road to reading? Join our 1000 Books Before Kindergarten reading challenge!
Read any book to you newborn, infant or toddler to work toward the goal of 1000 books. Your child will earn stickers, coloring sheets and lots of praise from librarians along their reading journey.
Log your books through Beanstack and stop by the library at each 100-mark milestone to add your child's name to our display.
Block Party is a PA State Library STEAM initiative used to encourage the use of block play for developmental and learning growth in young children. Join us for a 45 minute free play session with wooden blocks and other fun building toys. Use your hands, carefully stack pieces together, knock them down, and do it all over again. Open to ages 2 to 5.
Fridays at 10 am, 11 am and 1 pm. Registration is required.
Elementary-aged children can practice reading with one of our dog tutors on the first Thursday of each month starting in October. Registration is required for a 20-minute reading session.
For children ages 6 to 11. Stop by the Children's Department and make a craft on the second Thursday of each month between 1pm-2pm. Leave when you've finished the craft, or stay and hang out with other homeschoolers!
Registration is preferred, but not required. Check the calendar for exact dates.
Lego Club is now for grades K through 6!
We meet twice a month between 4pm and 5 pm on select Tuesdays. Join Ms. Alice at the tables in the Children's Department for an hour of free building with other Lego enthusiasts. Work on the challenge of the month and stay until 5 pm or leave when you're finished.
