    December 2, 2020, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM @ Venango Trail / Fitness Center

    As you age, you lose muscle mass, increase fat mass, your bones get brittle. This class will help burn fat and increase lean muscle mass, bone mineral density and metabolism. You will sculpt and strengthen your entire body by using low weight and high repetitions or high weight and low reps using all kinds of equipment which is sanitized afterwards. Practitioners with limitations related to age or size as well as students with a more vigorous yoga practice will benefit from this practice. No prior yoga experience required.

    Our outdoor Pavilion Chair Yoga is moving indoors to the Council Chambers where there is more room. Approximately half of the class is done seated and half standing with the chair used as support. As with all of our classes, "You do You". Depending on how you feel, you can make this class as challenging as you like! Shoes may be worn (if they are not, please bring a mat to stand on). A cushion or blanket might be nice to sit on.     You will still sculpt and strengthen your entire body by using low weight (not super low, but lower than an Olympic weight lifter!!) and high repetitions. Participants may use a barbell, dumbbells or no weight at all. All fitness levels will be accommodated! This has been proven to be one of the quickest ways to get in shape. New students may want to check out a Strength Training basics class beforehand but not required. Remember, as you age, you lose muscle mass, increase fat mass, your bones get brittle. Weight Lifting increases lean muscle mass, increases bone mineral density, increases metabolism, burns fat and so much more.

Participants may use a barbell, dumbbells or no weight at all. All fitness levels will be accommodated! This has been proven to be one of the quickest ways to get in shape. New students may want to check out a Strength Training basics class beforehand but not required. Remember, as you age, you lose muscle mass, increase fat mass, your bones get brittle. Weight Lifting increases lean muscle mass, increases bone mineral density, increases metabolism, burns fat and so much more.
