    The Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company (CTVFC) will be giving free smoke alarms to senior residents of Cranberry Township as part of its ongoing Fire Safety Education program. A limit of two smoke alarms per household will be given to senior (65+) homeowners while supplies last. Proper ID is required.

    Leftover household products such as paints, cleaners, oils, batteries, and pesticides, that contain potentially hazardous ingredients require special care when you dispose of them. Improper disposal of HHW can include pouring them down the drain, on the ground, into storm sewers, or in some cases putting them out with the trash. The improper disposal of these wastes can pollute the environment and pose a threat to human health. ECSR provides Homeowners with several options for the safe and economical disposal of Household Hazardous Waste.

    Save a Life and help your community. The Cranberry Township EMS offers American Safety and Health Institute CPR and First Aid and American Heart Association BLS Provider CPR Training. Classes are from 9 AM-12 PM for CPR and First Aid is from 12:30 -3:00 PM. Fee: $40 per level taken.

    The Cranberry Township Jewish community, together with friends representing every faith and corner of the region, will celebrate the first night of the eight-day observance of Hanukkah this year with a menorah lighting in front of the Municipal Center on Sunday evening, December 22. All are welcome. The privately underwritten event, which is hosted by Cranberry Township, marks the seventh year that Hanukkah has been observed at the Municipal Center.

  2. Zoning Hearing Board

    Zoning Hearing Boards are mandated by the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code. Their major roles are, first, to provide a legal mechanism for considering appeals from property owners seeking variances from zoning requirements, and second, as a way to challenge the validity of land use determinations. The Zoning Hearing Board meets on an as-needed basis.
