A series of proposed changes to the traffic patterns along Dutilh Road which have remained dormant since they were originally introduced into the Township’s roadway master plan several years ago, have taken on new life. Talk of a possible redevelopment project on the site of the former Castcon Stone Company property, opposite Walgreens Pharmacy, has given the proposed traffic changes greater immediacy, according to Township Chief Strategic Planning Officer John Trant, Jr. If that project were to advance, he told the Board of Supervisors at their June 30 meeting, it would include building a portion of a road system parallel to Dutilh which would improve access to the properties between Dutilh and I-79. Portions of Dutilh Road itself would then be modified to carry only northbound traffic. A share of the cost for implementing these changes would be financed out of Impact fees paid by developers.
