Plans for a makeover at a Route 19 business weren’t on ice very long.
After receiving approval in June for renovations and expansion at the Dairy Queen location at Route 19 and Progress Avenue, the owner is now requesting final land development approval from the Board of Supervisors.
That includes the first phase of work on 3.8 acres at 20660 Route 19, which would see the construction of a new 4,162 square foot Dairy Queen with a drive-thru, as well as roadways and parking areas. Upon the completion of the new location the existing Dairy Queen will be demolished.
The Board will consider the proposal at the August 4 meeting.
A future second phase of the project is expected to include the construction of an additional restaurant and two retail buildings.
