Many major road expansion and upgrade projects around the Township are expected to wrap up in 2021.

Now, the Board of Supervisors is looking ahead to the next set of priorities to determine where Transportation Impact Fees will best be spent.

Cranberry was one of the first municipalities in Pennsylvania to adopt Transportation Impact Fees which are charged to developers and used for road improvements. Recent and ongoing projects such as those on Freedom and Rochester roads, as well as the MSA Thruway, have been partially funded via these fees.

At its April 1 meeting, the Board of Supervisors approved Herbert Rowland & Grubic Inc. to update the Transportation Capital Improvement Plan for the next five years. This plan will set priorities for the fees moving forward and ensure the funds are being spent in areas of need.
