[ARCHIVED] Is That Hydrant Waving at Me?

fire hydrant with flag

The Township Sewer & Water Field Operations Division is using automatic flushing devices to improve the water quality in the water distribution system. After the device is attached, the hydrant is turned full on. An inside timer opens and closes a valve to flush the water at set intervals.

Current Locations: Steeplechase Dr.; 22030 Rt. 19 (near Kenny Ross); Glen Rape Rd.: and Graham Park. They will be in place until late October. The hydrants are fully accessible in the event of a fire.
