With six months a year of bad weather, Cranberry dogs and their owners need some relief. At least that’s the theory of one local couple whose applications to build a membership-based indoor dog park were presented to the Township’s Board of Supervisors on May 30. At the meeting, public comment was accepted on the developer’s plans for a single-story 19,425 square foot building which would include an open off-leash play area with artificial grass and dog toys as well as a lounge for dog owners. The proposed structure would be constructed on a previously undeveloped 1.2-acre lot at the corner of Alps Avenue and Rochester Road. Following testimony, the Board agreed to give the conditional use and land development applications final consideration at its June 6 meeting.
