Local restaurateur Jimmy Woods was presented with a “Comeback Award” by Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors at its September 27 meeting. The award recognized Woods’ work educating the community on ways we can help end the cycle of addiction. Jimmy was also recognized for creating a successful business staffed entirely with individuals recovering from addiction. The inspiration to start the business, which includes both a Rowan Road sit-down café and a food truck, came to Woods several years ago while undergoing treatment for his own addiction in Pittsburgh. The restaurant’s signature fish, shrimp and chicken tacos are all priced at $12 or less.
