Multiple inspections go into every building under construction, including its foundation, its framings, its sewers, its plumbing, its mechanicals, and more. Each phase of construction can involve multiple inspection visits, starting with the soil below the footer. A project’s inspection file folder can grow several inches thick because of all the required visits. Right now, there is so much construction going on in Cranberry that the code inspectors on staff are struggling to keep up. So at its April 26 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors approved a contract with Professional Code Services, Inc. to conduct construction code inspections under the Township’s direction on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for a year in an effort to keep construction projects on track and assure compliance with Cranberry’s building codes.
