Manager's Coffee: See Something, Say Something

Thursday, October 17, 2019

If there’s anything that can be learned from the recent wave of mass shootings around the country, it’s that you never know when, where, or why it will happen. However, there are steps that ordinary citizens can take to frustrate potential attackers before they strike and to minimize damage when an attack does occur. Citizens are encouraged to call 911 when things look awry or unsettled in any way. A community’s best way to fight crime is through attentive neighbors. The conversation will encourage neighbors to call 911 no matter the height of the situation.

Township Manager Jerry Andree is hosting  a Coffee and Conversation session in the Public Safety Training Center entitled “See something?  Say something!”  The event will feature a special guest, Bob Winters from the Department of Homeland Security, along with Cranberry police chief Kevin Meyer, who will address this important topic.

All are welcome and there is no fee to attend the gathering.  The Public Safety Training Center is on the Township’s Public Works campus, next to Community Park.  No reservations are required, however for planning purposes, an RSVP to  724-776-4806 x 1103 would be appreciated.

The Public Safety Training Center is located at the top of  Maintenance Dr.
