  1. Water line flushing

    June 20, 2018 - August 24, 2018

    Cranberry’s annual fire hydrant and distribution system flushing program gets underway on Mon., June 18, and continues for ten weeks. It is a routine maintenance operation designed to flush sediment from the water system, check fire hydrant operation, and test chlorine levels in the water lines throughout the Township. Flushing is conducted Mon. - Fri. between 7 am and 4:00 pm. Discolored water and fluctuations in water pressure are normal during flushing.  Refrain from doing laundry when your neighborhood lines are being flushed. i

  3. Connoquenessing Creek Clean-up

    August 18, 2018, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

    The Connoquenessing Creek Cleanup Project is an annual event formed by Allegheny Aquatic Alliance in 2012 for the restoration of this important local waterway. Tackling 10-20 mile sections each summer, we aspire to clean the entire creek by removing the physical pollution that consumes it. Connoquenessing Creek was once a beautiful, unspoiled waterway but due to decades of abuse and neglect, it has tragically become an endangered natural resource. It was rated the 2nd most polluted waterway in America in 2000! For years, waste has been directly dumped into the creek by illegal dumping and annual flooding and tires that were once used to stabilize the creek banks are now falling into the water. Please help us restore this vital waterway back to its beautiful, natural state by becoming a volunteer or sponsor. So far we have removed over 360,000 pounds of garbage, including over 4,000 tires from 40 miles of the 50-mile creek!

    Donate a pint of blood at the Cranberry Municipal Center on Tuesday, August 21 and receive a two-for-one certificate good for play on the award-winning Cranberry Highlands golf course anytime throughout the 2018 season. The blood drive, organized by Central Blood Bank, will be accepting donations between 12:30 and 6:30 PM in the Cranberry Municipal Center at 2525 Rochester Road. Walk-ins are welcome, but the Blood Bank recommends calling ahead for an appointment at 866-366-6771 and referring to group code Q040.

All fitness levels will be accommodated! This has been proven to be one of the quickest ways to get in shape. New students may want to check out the Group Barbell Elements class. Everyone who is 40 plus needs to lift weights. Why? It increases lean muscle mass, increases bone mineral density, increases metabolism, burns fat and so much more.
