Silver Anniversary: House of Chen a part of the community

Like all businesses, House of Chen was challenged by the COVID-19 pandemic, with their brightly colored dining room closed in lieu of take-out options.

Still, the fact that Cranberry Township residents have supported the restaurant for 25 years remained in the thoughts of owner Stanley Chen – so much so that he and the restaurant wanted to give back.

Chen donated meals and monetary donations to the Township’s Community Response Team, which was formed to help residents from Cranberry and beyond navigate the challenges associated with the virus. 

Additionally, House of Chen provided the Township’s Public Works Department with lunch - in gratitude for continuing to keep the Township running smoothly during the pandemic.

These random acts of kindness were Chen’s way of giving back to a community that has kept the House in business for more than two decades. Much like the fish inside the restaurant’s displays, the future for House of Chen remains bright.
